For some strange reasons I am absolutely fascinated with mailboxes, especially those Whitehall mailboxes. It is something that really fascinates me I have taken many photos of mailboxes. In my country mailboxes are not really used a lot as most houses use letter boxes in the doors, so imagine my delight when we moved to the States and found that my new house had one. My brother has a very cool Whitehall mailbox at his house in California, and whenever we are down there, my son never stops opening it! I think my fascination with mailboxes stems from my love of letter writing. I enjoy sending and receiving real letters because in this day of electronic mail it seems things are just getting so impersonal. I think a real letter has a more personal touch than an email and I especially like it when I receive a carefully chosen cards or beautifully handwritten the letters.

Another reason could be that I love receiving various product promotional ads in the mail – yes, I love receiving junk mail! I enjoy sorting through them to check out the various discounts and offers available in the local area.
